FINCKBONE, FINKBONE, MOORE posted by Michael Finckbone on Friday, June 2, 2000

I'm looking for leads on the FINCKBONE / FINKBONE ancestors. Here is the information I have from my distant branch in Minnesota through Bible records: Abraham FINCKBONE born: December 20, 1818 unknown state (Ohio maybe?); died: February 15, 1857, married to:

Mary Elizabeth MOORE born: December 02, 1827; died: August 06, 1870

Henry Charles FINCKBONE born: July 23, 1841 in Ohio (unknown town); died: March 07, 1915.

there were 5 more children:

Mary Ellen
George Washington
Laura Tishia
Abraham Jones
Cinderella

Apparently they moved to Indiana then to Illinois, I am intrigued that the Darke Co., Ohio - Co E., 40th OVI, roster (Civil War) lists Issac FINKBONE as jenior and the son of Isaac FINCKBONE.

BELDEN, CLINE, MONGAR posted by Ann Mongar on Saturday, June 10, 2000

Josiah and Marilla MONGAR. I am lookong for information on Josiah and Marilla (BELDEN) MONGAR. To my understanding they were early settlers of Darke County. I have some information on Josiah but I can't say that this is confirmed yet, but I will offer it anyways. Josiah MONGAR was born in New York in 1794 and then moved to Darke County and was a early settler there. He moved to Union City, and it says that he died in Nebraska in 1874 at the age of 80 years old. I am trying to make a connection between Josiah and Henry Clay MONGAR (this would be Josiah's son). Henry Clay MONGAR was married to Jarusha CLINE. Any help that I could get would be wonderful! Thanks so much. P.S. If you could tell me who Josiah's parents were that would be super!!!
