CUTHRELL posted by Elizabeth Harris on Sunday, April 2, 2000

Charles CUTHRELL died in Rowan (now Davie) County, NC, in 1826, leaving five children who were under age. Guardians' account records suggest that the children probably remained in North Carolina through the mid-1830s. In April 1848, however, a letter was written back to the Davie county authorities from John E. Coker [?, difficult to read], Jacksonville, Darke Co. Ohio, asking how much money is on hand for Sarah and Mary, daughters of Charles CUTHRELL. Their younger brother Charles "has decesed sens thay lefte that contey which will ad to each ones a small sum". Does anyone have information on this family? Did Charles CUTHRELL's widow move to Ohio with all five of her children? Or did only Sarah and Mary move there? What happened to them?

GOLDITZ, NORTH posted by D. Terlinde on Sunday, April 2, 2000

Mote Cemetery, Darke Co., Ohio
How can I get in touch with the person who has the records of burials in Mote Cemetery, lotcated in Darke Co., Ohio. My great-grandmother is buried there. I searched the grounds; and concluded she has no tombstone. I would like to learn where she is buried in the cemetery. I found her obit listed in the Arcanum Times, Oct 30, 1919. It states "Funeral for Mrs Amson Goldipy, who died at Ft. McKinley, Friday; burial Mote Cemetery" The name if GOLDITZ, not Goldipy. The husband name is Anson, not Amson. Ft. McKinley was a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. I have another relative buried there by the name of Louis GOLDITZ and his wife Nora (NORTH) GOLDITZ. I also found a Mary Ann GOLDITZ buried there, but her date of burial is the wrong one for my gg-mother. Any help will greatly be appreicated. Thank you!
