DISMEIER, GARD, MARTIN, MULLENIX, PURTEE, REX, SHIVERDECKER, WEAVER, WOLVERTON, WYSONG posted by Twila Costello on Thursday, September 3, 1998

I am researching: SHIVERDECKER, PURTEE, DISMEIER, MARTIN, WEAVER, WOLVERTON, WYSONG. I found an article for the Golden Anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. H.W. MULLENIX. The date is from June 10, 1910. Mr. H.W. MULLENIX was married to Nancy Catherine REX in 1860 on June 10th. If this is something anyone is interested in, I would be happy to send a copy to them. The REX could be a sister of one my lines: David REX who married Amy GARD in 1850.

HENDRIX, RINGER posted by Lyn Obuch on Thursday, September 3, 1998

I am researching my paternal grandmother's side at this time. I have wom records that list Darke County, Greenville, Ohio, as the location for the birth of John Harrison RINGER 11.6.1816. His father was supposed to be George RINGER Sr. there are only 4 other siblings listed in my notes they are, Levi, Jacob, George Jr. and a sister Lydia,: John Harrison is supposed to be the youngest he married 2.18.1838 Mary Catherine HENDRIX b 6.14.1825. Her father was W M HENDRIX b 10.20.1784 d 5.12.1868. His wife was Eve Catherin. We have no last name on her or do not no where any of these except John Harrison were really born. Most records start at 1820 so that would be after John's birth and these people had itchy feet so the going is really slow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

COPPESS, HARTLE, PLESSINGER posted by Kevin Coppess on Saturday, September 26, 1998

I need to find my COPPESS and HARTLE families. I think they might have come from Darke County. Demsey Plessinger COPPESS was a cousin(?) or father to my g-grandfather Andrew COPPESS. Andrew born 1860 in Greenville, OH; died Jan 6, 1900. How the PLESSINGER name got there, I don't know??? Demsey COPPESS' wife's name was Gladys; she died 1880; Demsey died 1900. These names were among Andrew COPPESS' things. Demsey is buried in Wyoming, Iowa; Andrew buried in Olin, Iowa. I would like to get anything on these people and how they connect? I am thinking that Demsey's mother was a PLESSINGER??? Could that be the connection??? Any help would be a big help. If there is a cost let me know. Thank you.

OLIVER, ROSE, WOODS posted by Ginger Holinka on Saturday, September 26, 1998

I am a descendent of Hezekiah WOODS s/o James WOODS and Rebecca OLIVER who married Lydia Ann ROSE January 20, 1851. I believe Lydia Ann is the daughter of Solomon ROSE and Eliza ?. The WOODS are listed in Neave Township in the 1850 Census and ROSEs are listed in Brown Township living next to Hezekiah's brothers. I am interested in finding where in Pennslyvannia the WOODS Family is from. I also need confirmation that Lydia Ann is Solomon's daughter and where Solomon is from; he is listed as born in Virginia, while the remainder of the family is listed as b. in Ohio. Any information is helpful.
