WALLS posted by Tiffany Walls on Thursday, May 14, 1998

Am looking for any information concerning WALLS ancestors. Moved from Darke Co. to Grant Co. during late 1800s to early 1900's. My grandfather, Daniel, passed away when I was a child and the only information I know is that he was from a large family, the youngest child, and spent most, if not all of his life in Indiana. I have heard through the years that there are still many family members who did not move to Indiana but remained in Darke Co. instead. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

CROMER, KOON, SAWYER posted by Bill C. Cromer on Saturday, May 16, 1998

I'm trying to link the CROMER name in Darke and Miami Cos., OH. My branch goes back to Fredrick CROMER b. 1732 in Newberry Co., SC. Two brothers - Simon b. 1799 d. 1874 m. Catherine SAWYER in SC (my direct line back to Fredrick), and Adam b. 1808 m. ?? KOON. Adam is supposed to have moved to Pennsylvania with his family, Nelson, Columbus, Emma, Hosea, & Rachel who married a first cousin George CROMER. My branch went from South Carolina to Cedar Bluff, Alabama, to Pleasant Hill, Ohio, (Darke Co.) The CROMER's in Miami Co., Castown, Fletcher, and Gettysburg all seem to have come from Hershey, PA. I think there may be a link to Elnathan CROMER buried in Fletcher, Ohio, and our line but haven't been able to prove it. I'm willing to share the data I have with anyone willing to share the data they have for common good..

RENNELLS posted by Kathy Rennells on Thursday, May 28, 1998

Charles RENNELLS children Oliver, Ransom, Celinda, and Dollie (or Dolly) were given away to another family because of Charles's poor health (~1824). Information on the lives and descendants of these children is desired. Charles sold his property in Darke Co (German Township) in 1823, gave away the kids in 1824, and passed on in 1825. His oldest son Adolphus was old enough to live on his own. I have information and am a direct decendant of the line following from Charles through Adolphus RENNELLS that I would be happy to share. Thank you for your time.
