I know that he is from Germany and may have come to Ohio between 1870-1880. His spouses name was Rosella (MILLER) KAUTT. He moved to California-date unknown -and is buried there. I am looking for information on William S. AVRA b. March 14, 1875 in Preble Co.; d. March 11, 1952 Knox Co. Indiana. I would like to know about his first marriage. I believe he married Aura(?) date unknown and she may have died in childbirth. He then married Cora May NEAD (1877- 1964). These marriages were probably in the late 1800's and before 1905. John CLARK is found in the 1850 Darke Co Census with wife Hetty and daughters Nancy, Mary and Tacy. I want to confirm a marriage record I found of a John CLARK and Hester BRIGGS on 5-20-1841 as being the same people as the John and Hetty in the census. Is "Hetty" another name for "Hester"?
