All SCHWIETERMAN family decendants!! Many individuals have been keeping track of different branches of this great and large family that settled in Mercer County. From the orginal family... John Herman Arnold SCHWIETERMAN and Mary Cathrine BUSCHOR, and their first son Gerhard (all born in Germany) and then 8 children born in Mercer Co., more than 1300 people are decendant from this couple. They came in 1937. And in 1997 we would like to combine all information and locate all relations for an up-to-date family history and family tree. Please spread the word and update your family by sending your family info. Full name (incl. maiden name and parents of spouse) birthdate and place (city, county, state, or country) same info for children. Marriage date and place. Death date and place. For reference, please list parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. This is to aid in listing you in the correct branch.

In the will of Henry REPLOGLE (Muskingum Co OH Court records, Will Book I, p. 250) probated 22 May 1857, is found: "granddaughter, Sarah Jane HOBBS, child of my dau. Polly, who died in Darke Co., Ohio, about 1841..." Need any details available.

Am looking for information about William Thompson CARNAHAN, his wife, Frances QUIGLEY, who settled in Greenville area before 1818. Also, of their child, Charlotte B. (b. 1812) who married Dr. Jefferson L. SUMMERS in 1836 in Darke co. before moving off to Tazewell and Logan Counties, Illinois.

James Clarence DAVIS was born 22 November 1883 in Darke County, Ohio. Cannot find proof of birth or family in Darke County. Parents were Elizabeth J. COULTER and Joseph Warren DAVIS. Is anyone researching DAVIS or COULTER or can tell me if family was in Darke County in the 1880s? James also had brothers Cheslie (born 1877) and Charles (born 1884). Elizabeth died before 1894. Father and family eventually moved to Morrow County, Ohio.

Seeking info on parents of John HOLMES and Mahala Jane MORRICAL. John, b. 1824 in Pa.; married, 30 Dec 1852 in Fulton Co., Ind. to Mahala Jane MORRICAL. John and Mahala appear in the 1860 Kankakee Co., Ill. Census; as does an the family of S. MORRICAL, who at 49 was born in Ohio. Other info on Otto Township, Kankakee Co. suggests that this MORRICAL family came from Darke Co., to Randolph Co., Ind. to Kankakee Co., Ill. Will share. Any Help Appreciated.

RYNEARSON family in Darke County from 1822 to 1864. Barnet and Ann (DRAKE) RYNEARSON lived in Butler Twp with their 16 or 17 children. Many of Barnet's siblings resided there also. Barnet's mother is listed with her daughter in the 1850 census as Jane RYNEARS living with the CAYWOOD family. Barnet's sons Josiah, Isaiah, Jefferson, and Peter fought in the Civil War from Darke County. In 1864 they moved to Buchanan, Berrien County, MI.

I am trying to locate John SHIVELY born 12-Jan-1824 in Fairfield County (I think) . He married Elizabeth COOKE (GOOK) on 27-June 1849. He died July, 1906. They had 11 children: Franklin B., Charles M., Mary C., Edward W., John W., Silas C., Alfred C., Anna May, William., Lewis M, Daisey M. I believe they lived in Darke County for a time. They finally settled in Delaware Cty., Ohio. I need any information on parents., etc. Thank you.

I'm interested in finding out all I can about my great grandmother, Dora (CAIN) DALTON. All I know is that she was from Greenville and she was married to William Simpson DALTON, from Miami County. They had 5 children; the youngest was my grandfather, James Harrison DALTON, III. I believe Dora's father was named Emmanuel, and she had some brothers, but I do not know any of their names. My grandfather, James, was born in 1914 and grew up in Dayton.

Henry MICHAEL m. Susannah ALBAUGH in Preble Co on Dec 24, 1829; she d. in Darke Co on Jun 12, 1847. His father, John Michael, b 1788, d Darke Co Aug 8, 1870. Interested in trading info with anyone else interested in these families. Thanks!

Searching for information about my great great grandmother - Minerva Jane MOONEY, born at Vandalia, OH on 20 SEP 1842. Her mother's name Ellen (?), don't know father's name. Mother Ellen born around 1800 in PA somewhere, she died at Vail, Crawford Co., IA, 3 APR 1881. Minerva Jane MOONEY married James Madison COLEMAN on 22 OCT 1861 at Marion, Linn County, IA. Minerva died at Neligh, Antelope Co., NE on 6 OCT 1908. Her Obituary states that she had 4 brothers living at the time of her death. Was one of them Lewis Philip MOONEY?, also found living at Vail, IA, where James and Minerva COLEMAN and her mother Ellen lived???? Who were the other brothers? sisters?, and father??
